I think there's going to be a decent amount of people coming. There's three of us from Bridgend, plus a few others from Cardiff who are all going along. If you're planning on coming along and don't know any of us, please drop me an email and I'll give you my mobile number, so you can find us easily. See you all later on. Sorry to clog the list up further. But at least some of it is free! The following is free (mainly cause I can't be arsed to ebay it as it probably won't sell): 1 stick of PC133 RAM (no idea the size etc) PCI Network card (D-Link) PCI 56k modem (two of them) ATI Rage Pro Turbo (AGP) Nvidia NVTNT2MA 32mb (AGP) 15" TFT monitor, it's ancient and doesn't have a power supply, does work tho, you just need to buy a power supply for it. SAMS Apache 2 in 24 Hours Running Linux (the O'Reilly book) 3rd ed (1999) but if you're new to linux, most of the stuff is still useful The network and modem cards do have proper transistors and capacitors on them, so could probably be salvaged for parts if you're so inclined. I really don't want to post anything, so pick up only. Stuff for sale (pick up in Bridgend only) 19" TFT Monitor - ?20, works fine Antec P180 (Black, ATX, Tower) - ?20 Silverstone Lascala 17 Case (Black, ATX, Media center case) - ?20 (would make a great media center case) Lots more stuff on ebay: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/squid_cxv (which I will post) Cheers, Matt From steve at nexusuk.org Wed Feb 1 17:56:15 2012 From: steve at nexusuk.org (Steve Hill) Date: Wed, 01 Feb 2012 17:56:15 +0000 Subject: [SWLUG] Getting rid of more stuff In-Reply-To: <1727163.XV1UeyjyVx@edward> References: <1727163.XV1UeyjyVx@edward> Message-ID: <4F297CBF.5030708@nexusuk.org> On 01/02/12 17:53, Matthew Moore wrote: > 15" TFT monitor, it's ancient and doesn't have a power supply, does work tho, > you just need to buy a power supply for it. Details of the changes are found in the OpenStreetMap wiki at http://www.osmfoundation.org/wiki/License/We_Are_Changing_The_License If the terms are not accepted on April 1st any ways added by a contributor who has not accepted will be deleted, or if they have merely edited a way created by someone else it will return to its earlier state. I find this site the most useful to find the ways that will disappear, http://cleanmap.poole.ch/# So if you are an ex-contributor, or know someone who is undecided, please either accept the new conditions, or if you disagree with them decine as this will give us a better clue as to what work is to be done. I've been aware of this for some time, although not looked into the discussions in depth. I'm somewhat confused as to how they are doing all this: OSM have always held that using another map in any way (e.g. referring to copyrighted OS maps or Google Earth for hints) is not allowed as the resulting OSM data would be considered a derived work. By extension, a lot of the ODbL licensed OSM data will have been created by referring or modifying existing CC-BY-SA licensed OSM data, so why do they not consider it a derived work (and therefore not relicensable)? Also, has anyone figured out what proportion of the data will be lost as a result? -- - Steve From dick.bain at gmail.com Mon Feb 13 14:46:04 2012 From: dick.bain at gmail.com (Dick Bain) Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2012 14:46:04 +0000 Subject: [SWLUG] mini projector Message-ID: At the last Carmarthen meet Dave showed us a mini projector but my feeble brain forgot the details, I thought I'd ask on list because other people might be interested; so Dave can you tell us the make and model? cheers Dick -- free/libre/open, software for the people by the people www.swlug.org is a good place to go ;-) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
