Meeting venue: Cardiff The City Arms - 7pm (for Feb/March 2012, see News items)
Description: The City Arms is a quiet traditional pub serving a great range of beer.
Location: 10-12 Quay St, Cardiff, CF10 1EA
Parking: The pub is right next to the Westgate Steet NCP Car Park, which is £2 for 1800 - 0600. You can park for free at the streets around the University Buildings/Assembly Building/City Hall/Museum/Police Station and Alexandra Park after 1800, it's about a 10 minute walk to the pub.
Directions: Walk up/down Westgate Street, till you get to Quay Street (it's pretty much opposite the main Millenium Stadium entrance) and you can't miss the City Arms. The Westgate Street NCP Car park is a good landmark as well. If coming up from the station, turn right into Quay Street, if coming from the Castle, turn left.
The current venue is the City Arms, but here are the old directions incase they're useful.
The Central Bar- 7pm Description: The Central Bar is a Wetherspoons pub, so has a good cheap food menu Location: It is located on Windsor Place, Cardiff a map can be found here
Parking: There are a limited number of parking spaces in Windsor Place. The nearest other car parks are in St. Andrews Crescent & Churchill Way (both can be seen on the map) or in the streets around Cathays Park (where the University is).
Directions: Windsor Place is one block from the end of Queen St (not the end with the castle), where Barclays Bank resides. Central Bar is about 3 doors up from the Bank. We are upstairs, usually by or underneath the TV. Sometimes we do sit on the sofas in the middle however.
