Our first series of technical meetings has finished for the year. As the year is drawing to a close, I thought I'd just pop up a news article to round-up the year and look forward to next years talks.
So far we've had a total of three talks, all at Swansea Quaker Meeting house. We've had a wide range of talks on a number of different subjects. From understanding how linux deals with memory, to regular expressions, mythTV, supercomputers, OpenBSD and OCR for web content, they've all been fascinating. Many thanks to all LUG members who've done a talk, everyone has been outstanding. For next year I don't intend on changing the format that much. The talks will still be held on a Sunday evening and I'm planning on doing 4 talks in 2010. I think that spacing them out will mean more speakers, which means better value for money for people and they'll be much more worthwhile as a result. I have been putting serious consideration into running a talk at Cardiff and Carmarthen as well as two at Swansea.
