We had a great turnout for this meeting of around 15 people or so. I hope everyone had a good time and lets hope that the next meeting has a similar turn out. Some people who have tried to find us in the past but had difficulty figuring out who we were made it as did a few long time lurkers, which is good to see. We were rather hard to miss for once. The LUG isn't a meeting of linux gurus talking about the latest kernel or similar, we're here for all linux users of any level. There were many topics of discussion and I'm quite sure I've missed plenty of things, so here is a small flavour of what was talked about last night. |

Six regulars and one new face turned up last night :D Amongst matters discussed were: - Which distro for older machines
- Knoppix 6 and installing on a pendrive
- which search facility would sort which email format
- Koffice v OpenOffice

On the right hand side of the home page you'll notice a poll, this is to ask when people would prefer to hold "technical" meetings rather than just a social gathering. Please vote and perhaps post your reasons to the mailing list :D
